Habitat Bird Photos!

I thought I would share some photos of some of the feathered beauties that I am seeing around the habitat now and posted about in my last blog.

Mourning Dove ... warms in the morning sun.

Green jay  ... checks out a cage feeder for a treat.

Kinglet ...what a quick and tiny, lil' bugger this one is! Hasn't slowed down long enough to show me if it is a " golden" or "ruby" crested yet.

Titmouse ... takes a refreshing dip in a mud puddle.

Male Golden Fronted Woodpecker loves his orange!

Great kiskadee always livens up the habitat with loud calls and wing clicking antics.

Female painted bunting blends in much better than the males which have all the beautiful colors of the rainbow .

Wren likes to investigate every nook and cranny.

Common Chat is a tiny bird that sneaks an early morning bath here every morning.

Mockingbird likes to watch me as much as I do him.

Goodness, your pictures are beautiful.
Your feeders are really drawing a wonderful variety of birds.

It's winter time here, so my feeder is pretty much bare of bird-variety now. I miss the summer birds of rainbows of colors.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures.
Wishing you a lovely weekend!

Wow! Your pictures are incredible! I especially like the pic of the cardinal - the low angle is great. And I also love how in the picture of the house wren you can see the spider web all covered in drops of dew.

May I ask - what kind of a camera and lens are you using?

A couple of months ago I recieved a new camera for birthday. My husband got me a Kodak EASYSHARE Z712 IS Zoom Digital. I am not sure what that all means and am still learning the new functions, but I am delighted with the closeups it allows me to get. That has alot to do with the 36–432 mm (35 mm equiv.) SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON Lens, and built in Zoom - 12X optical, 4.2X advanced digital, total zoom range 50X.Thanks for asking Connie:)
